Island Hop: ANA Business Class 767-300 NRT-TPE

I had an approximately one hour layover at NRT before my flight to TPE. We were late leaving LAX so I was a little anxious since I knew I had to re-clear security and find my next gate.

Island Hop: ANA Staggered Business Class LAX-NRT NH5

I recently got to go to Taipei, Taiwan. LAX has 7 daily flights direct to TPE (Taoyuan International Airport) in Taipei. Being the nut case that I am I felt fortunate to be able to fly on All Nippon Airways via NRT (Tokyo-Narita).

My routing for this trip
I was really excited to try ANA's staggered business class seat. I have previously tried economy, premium economy, and first class. So with this trip I will have tried all of their products!

ANA NH911, NRT-HKG, Boeing 767-300

After a quick 2 hour layover to stretch our legs and eat some noodles at the ANA Business Lounge we boarded NH911 bound for HKG.

ANA NH5, LAX-NRT, Premium Economy

I love to fly ANA when I go to Asia. This time my final destination was Hong Kong for a much needed vacation and to see my grandmother. It was also a great chance to see NL again! This time I would be traveling with my sister and coworker.

Luckily I managed to secure a premium economy seat for my LAX-NRT flight. It was a product that I have never tried before so I was pretty excited. Plus you get to sit right next to those GE90s AND see the great big wings.

Flight: NH5
Route: LAX - NRT
Aircraft: Boeing 777-300ER

NH6 NRT-LAX The Second ANA First Square (JA732A)

This was a hard post to write because it meant reliving the sadness of a vacation coming to an end.
Yes we were flying on ANA Square again, but we really had a hard time leaving Tokyo. I've been to Japan about seven times now and I have so much fun each time. This time was no different. We got to go to new places and make some amazing new friends which made it especially hard to leave.

We got to the gate and saw a massive crowd. Boarding had not started yet. If you may recall my NH5 experience, we were literally the last to board. I was actually quite interested to see what being the first to board would be like this time.

When you are having fun, time really flies by.

Let's continue!

Before we knew it our time in Japan was ending. We made some great friends and even ended up doing drunken karaoke at a 747 themed karaoke club. Not kidding.

The rest of the photos that night were too drunken for the internet.

After passing through customs and immigration at NRT we purchased Airport Limousine tickets to the Conrad Tokyo in the Shiodome district. If you aren't familiar with the Airport Limousine it is actually a long distance bus. It takes you directly from the airport terminal curb to the door of whatever hotel you select as your destination. At 3,000 yen per person one way it is the most expensive way to get in to Tokyo from Narita but you don't have to lug your suitcases and it is door-to-door. The staff are really gentle with your suitcases. (No tipping in Japan!)

Glorious Japanese vending machines
I had previously become enamored with the Conrad brand at the Conrad New York so I was really looking forward to an extended stay at the Conrad Tokyo.
